Unfortunately, I’ve been rather under the weather since Thursday night. I hoped it’d pass, and now I think it is, but I haven’t had the mental energy to write anything creative.

However, I managed to gather a few interesting posts from the last week to share with you:

Phishing for Your Money @ Suburban Dollar talks about more than ordinary phishing. SD outlines some of the more creative schemes meant to entrap a particular person. I first learned about phishing in a kid while playing Neopets online.

Save Money by Raising Chickens? @ Not the Jet Set. While in college, my housemates and I found a family who raised chickens and bought eggs from them. Delicious. And, apparently, cost-effective to raise.

Greed is Good @ Hunter Nuttal. Michael Moore and Gordon Gekko faceoff in this post. Interesting read.

How to Rollover a 401k Plan into an IRA @ Cash, Money, Life. Simple outline for moving your 401(k) when you’re leaving a job or when your job stops offering the funds you want.

Google Street View – Great for home buyers. @ Four Pillars. I find Google’s street view option very handy for finding places I’ve never been before. Four Pillars shows you how to use it and suggests how it can be applied if you’re in the market for a house.

Tips Learned from Our Move @ Free From Broke. Once you’ve found that house, here are some tips for moving in based on FFB’s own experience this past week.

Would you rather be Fat or in Debt? @ Man vs. Debt. I think debt’s easier to get out of.

Should you buy return of premium rider on your life insurance policy? @ Good Financial Cents. You can pay more to get your life insurance premium back if you don’t die. But is it worth it?

I hope you get well soon.

I enjoyed some of the same posts you did. We used Google street view to narrow down our list for apartments before we came down. Since the move was quick, we didn’t have a ton of time. It worked out well for us.

MvD had my husband and I thinking about that. I chose fat and he said ‘neither’ (cop-out).

Google view is a godsend if you’re househunting! When we were looking to move we were able to see what houses looked like and exactly where on the street they were.

OMG, and I remember the good old days of playing Neopets too! Wonder if it’s still going?

Thanks for the good wishes, all. I’m feeling a lot better, though not 100%. I was able to do what I needed to today.

@Laura sounds like it worked well. 🙂

@Mrs. Not the Jet Set I’ll see what I can find in the archives!

@FourPillars it’s a bit better now.

@eemusings still going strong but it seems a lot more complicated now. Lots more going on–I remember when it was so simple (though with frustratingly-little functionality at times).
