I would never give up my wife and sons for any amount of money.

However, I think the show was not enough of a factor to divorce. They were incompatible, and it seemed that John was strained more by the Kate plus eight than the show. Thus the John plus girlfriend.

I believe once we realize that God is our "source", not our jobs, when soon discover that the money will come. While working to support yourself and your family is important, like everything else, it's temporary. Even at our best, we're replaceable. Time away from family is time lost. I am (was) a huge fan or the show, but I am very disappointed in the decisions they made. Of course, we don't know everything that was involved, but it does seem like they chose money over their marriage. They received so many free things on the show, I am just surprised that marriage counseling was not one of them. Since I am going to be about 2 1/2 hours away for my job starting in August, it is going to be a big strain on our new marriage. We know it's going to be tough and we have talked about it a great deal. That is one of the main things to keep in mind. You must be in constant contact with your spouse so you know if something is wrong. If the job that I am taking hurts our marriage, I will be working very hard to get a transfer or find something closer to home.
