I love the sound of this, and think it's a great idea. You've got me thinking now about the tiny things you can do each day that impact other people in a positive way. Great post, thanks. :)

I think these are great ideas, and above all, they are practical and can fit all budgets.

Giving, especially in times of crisis and uncertainty, takes a different meaning.

Good luck!

These are all great ideas. Baking brownies for co workers is on my list to do....Being a blessing to others is a blessing in itself.

I just signed up yesterday! A couple of ideas for people who want to give but don't have a lot to spare...

- Overseas Coupon Program, www.ocpnet.org (very basic, but the folks on the other side are very responsive via email). Mail current and recently expired coupons to US military bases abroad, for use in the commissary. I spent an hour clipping and bundling on Sunday, to the tune of $202 in coupon value. Even if they're only able to use half of them, it was totally worth the hour.

- Goods4Girls.org, especially suitable for the eco-minded giver. They supply reusable cloth sanitary pads to orphaned schoolgirls in Africa...a more financially and environmentally sustainable solution than the P&G Always campaign. On the Donate page, you can find people offering to make and mail them at cost - about $2-3 per pad.

I'm a big fan of tiny charities where a $5-10 contribution goes a long way and 95-100% of the money goes to the program (seriously, I think all they lose is the PayPal 2.9% fee). Have a look at my other blog for a few such orgs that I've stumbled across this year: www.cheapcharity.blogspot.com

I love these challenges!Last week, I bought a homeless man breakfast. I usually bake brownies for work about once every three months or so. My husband and I were talking about signing up with Kiva last week too.

This is very exciting.

Good and simple to do list, Mrs. M.

I like the idea of paying the toll for the person behind you. We have some tolls which charge a fixed sum, so this should be quite easy.

Thanks for the tips.
