I recently conducted my own poll on this subject and my readers basically advised to what worked best for me. As a reader of your blog, I would suggest the same. I've found that twice-daily posts work well when I have a lot to say, or there is a hot topic in the financial world (tax rebates, etc.), but on most days I will probably stick to once-a-day posting.

It doesn't matter much to me, either. Some blogs on my reader only post once or twice a week. What matters is the quality of the content.

But I AM impressed that you can produce good content day after day...I post four or five times a week and that's challenging for me!

In a perfect world, I would post two short posts a day. I can't because I don't post from work, so that limits me a lot. I do enjoy reading other's blogs and I enjoy the afternoon post. I read the morning posts during my morning coffee and check again for an afternoon snack. I don't usually read as much on the weekend.

These are just my reading patterns...I can't speak for anyone else!

Mrs. Micah, you do what works best for YOU, whether that means posting twice a day, once a day, or even less.
We'll still be here to read them. :)

I try to keep it to one post a day also. Like Aryn I find it allows more time for commenting like this on my favorite blogs. This is one of my favorite blogs.(Sorry)I'm not brown nosing, just stating fact.

I find that one post a day works very well for me. It allows me more time to research and write a meaty post, but I also like your chatty posts, too.

That said, I'm voting Penguin!

I'm with Kacie on all accounts.

I love reading all your posts (mostly via RSS) and I look forward to them everyday. However, there's no reason to overdo it when your schedule is tight.

I don't make any apologies for my variable post schedule on All About Appearances. I've always believed that bloggers should post at least enough that people know they're still alive, but not push it to where they're blogging crap just to get a post out (not that you would).

The rules are a bit different for full-on commercial blogs I guess, but I tend to favor more personal blogs in my reading list with only one or two writers. Part is atmosphere you could say. And another part is that some blogs have waaaaay too many posts for me to keep up with (two a day is fine, five a day is a bit much).

I think you should do what's most comfortable for your schedule.

Some days, I have one blog post. Others, I might have three (or more, eep!).

If I'm blogging just for the sake of blogging, though, it's not going to be a great post, though.

So, blog as much as you feel inspired to do. I'll keep reading, no matter how often you post!
