Charming blouse...and it looked great on you, too. Nice to see it again.

In the spirit of best purchase ever...in the clothes dep't at least...a light pearl gray heather cashmere crew neck sweater. works as a sweater over a shirt or polo, can be folded to make a kind of scarf around your neck, or thrown casually over your shoulders keeps you comfy but not hot, not cold while you are doing whatever - flying/gardening/walking/playing etc - can be dressed up with a scarf or belt or necklace -- or combo -- to look pretty swish and classy or can go through the day disguised as an ultra-comfy sweatshirt. Doesn't wear out, can be machine-washed on delicate and dries overnight. and it was cheap...Land's End. Also a down vest...same idea.

What a cute blouse! (Nice crochet work in the background, too....)

In the summertime here in Arizona I live in those things. You can usually find nice voile artist's shirt-style cover-ups in the swimsuit department. They're great over blue jeans. So incredibly comfortable!

A broad-brimmed hat will shade the back of your neck where the shirt's neckline doesn't cover. Also keeps the sun out of your eyes, which is nice. :-)

dumbest purchase:palm pilot, it's been 4 yrs since i bought one, i used it for 3 months, it's still there in my desk. Too late for me to realize that I'm more a paper and pen gal.
wisest purchase: a car. i got a really low interest in my car when i purchased it and big downpayment (been saving for it). it helped me a lot because the local transportation is not really friendly where i live. i take good care of it and do regular maintenance to it. so far it's 6 yrs old and still running smoothly.
another wisest purchase: front loader washer & dryer. saves me a lot from going to a laundromat. my back does not hurt because they're taller and i don't have to reach.
