This coming Tuesday, I’ll be hosting the Carnival of Money Stories! So don’t forget to submit if you want your story included. It’s not for posts about personal finance, but rather for posts which tell the stories of how we’re living this day to day.

Not all the posts in this roundup qualify as money stories, btw, I just wanted to be sure to mention the carnival. This is interesting stuff from the last week.

In happy news, David at Money Ning is getting married this Saturday! (2/9/08) Not only that, but he’s giving away money…pop on over to find out more.

And in more happy news, PaidTwice is done with her Citibank card! All paid off. Balance $0. She still has to finish up with the car business, but this is a huge milestone. I believe that was her last credit card.

Kacie at Sense to Save wrote a great news story this week. I don’t want to give away too much, but you have to check it out. It’s on supermarkets requiring shopping lists.

My Dad sent me this, from the Washington Post. He said it’s right up my alley. I’ve seen some of her stuff before, but I thought I’d include this because it’s particularly encouraging. Michelle Singletary encourages us on being happy with what we can afford. Do we want to keep up with the Joneses if they’re drowning in debt?

Short roundup, but it’s Friday. So go have fun now, enjoy your weekend!

Thanks for including me!

that was indeed the last credit card. I found out the car repair thing isn’t even technically a credit card, it is a “line of credit” whatever the difference is, so technically I am completely done with cc debt. heh.
