She's been doing *really* well for the past 2 or 3 years now with some medication she's on. I hope you, too, can find something that works well for you (be it medication or something natural). The Dewey is a system of organizing non-fiction books in the library. The other major one used in the States is the Library of Congress system. The Dewey works based on some general classifications 000s are reference, 100s are philosophy and psychology, 200s are religion, 400s are language, 800s are literature, etc. Then within each group, there's subgroups 001s are UFOs and the like. 004-006 is computer stuff. 242 is a particular subtopic of Christianity. Some numbers aren't yet accounted for, so that we'll have room for new topics (like computers). Without the Dewey, it'd be much harder to organize libraries. We'd have to have some general "section" idea anyway...and section specifics means that you'll find the same books together. So 332.024s are all on personal finance. My library has maybe 100 different PF books. 332.6, on the other hand, is investing. Very close, so if you're interested in PF you may be interested in investing and can get to that easily. I used to go to a local warehouse market for last minute needs. I don't usually grocery shop.
