It’s ok Mrs. Micah – the first (and only) time I went skiing, I broke my leg!! I think every month of my life has been better than that one. And I think that it was on Good Friday… oh the irony!

We went skiing recently too (in Missouri no less) but since no one has skiied before, it was all bunny slope goodness.

Yeowch! I’ve been skiing only once. My college friends decided to take me on a ski trip. After one lesson, in which I successfully navigated the bunny hill, my friends deemed me ready for the intermediate slopes. Let’s just say two friends skied down the mountain ahead, while one friend stayed behind to help me side step down the hill.

Actually, MrsMicah had some residual effects. Before she hit her head, she had no reading problems. After she hit her head, she had mild dyslexia. Before, she was like an automatic spelling machine; afterwards, she spelled moderately well. In retrospect, I think I should have taken her to a doctor for follow-up. At the time, I didn’t realize that anything could be done for concussions.
