So I don’t really have much to say. Instead, I’d like to introduce you to “Creature Comforts,” interviews with the British public about random topics which they then put in a completely different context (you can only see it if you click through). The animation is done by the same people who do Wallace and Gromit:
Edited because the clip was throwing off the site’s alignment. Here’s a link.
Great stuff. Come back Monday to see if I actually made it!!!

Hilarious video Mrs M. So what exactly is a blog carnival and how does it work?
Basically someone sets up a way for people to submit posts related to a certain topic–finance, philosophy, pets, babies. Normally it’s some kind of web-form. All the submissions go to the host (normally rotates between a number of people) who organizes them, chooses some favorites, possibly comes up with a theme, and presents it on a pre-specified day.
Then people who submitted and other interested parties come and click through to posts which look interesting. Gives people a chance to feature their good writing and make friends as well as get some link-love.
The host often picks a top 10 which will probably get a lot of traffic.
The CoPF is a MONSTER because people can submit pieces on anything related to personal finance. There are some categories which make it easier (investing, frugality, etc). But I still have to sort some 80+ submissions. And then I have to weed out the occasional bad one. Hosts get to work with their own judgment…I’m mostly trying to judge intentions.
Hi Mrs. Micah. Sorry about the last minute submission. I got a little behind on my posts this week. After hosting the CODR I can only imagine how much work is involved with the COPF! Anywho, good luck with that and thanks again for stopping by 🙂 PS-Good luck navigating through the Library of Congress, it sounds huge!
I love Creature Comforts – it’s often shown on tv over here. I think that it was originally done for a gas (as in cooking and heating) commercial.
Whoever came up with the idea was brilliant–it’s so cute! I love the little hamster/gerbil in this one. And the dog/cat couple.
Funny way to start the day! Looking forward to the Carnival..you always do a great job!
Squeal. I love these videos. Thanks for hosting us over the weekend!
