Today’s the first day of my library job! Very exciting–it’s the first time I’ve actually worked at the front desk at a library, though I’ve been at 3 before this.
In this morning’s post, I’d like to thank those who made my blogging job more successful last month!
1. consumerist.com
The Consumerist sent me lots of traffic when they featured my post on Best Personal Finance Practices of 2007. It’s hard to pick just one post from their site–new stuff’s going up all the time. So head on over and there’s almost definitely something interesting.
2. thesimpledollar.com
Trent is a blogger who needs no introduction. One post that I really liked this week was on dealing with a bad day without spending money. It’s something I’ve worked on a lot.
3. beingfrugal.net
Lynnae is a very inspiring blogger and a good blog friend. She came up with the Twelve Days of Christmas PF Style meme last month, which was fun for a lot of us!
4. getrichslowly.org
JD is another famous blogger–and all my traffic from his site was from people clicking through my comments. Pretty awesome, and thanks GRS readers for coming over. One of my favorite posts recently: Don’t make resolutions, set goals. I think it’s a great idea for the New Year.
5. paidtwice.com
I’m an unashamed fangirl of Paid Twice. She really inspires me. And what with my featuring her snowflaking post and then her public thanks for my featuring, there was a lot of back and forth link love last month. Oh, and a guest post. She just posted about something we have in common–a real enjoyment of gift cards.
6. myopenwallet.net
Madame X added me to her blogroll a while back and has always been a top referrer. A recent blog post that made me laugh was about Gifts Gone Wrong.
7. consumerismcommentary.com
Flexo/Sasha have long been top referrers and Flexo recently mentioned my post on unwanted gift cards. And once again, Flexo supports my love of no-load index funds. Mmm…Vanguard. I *heart* Bogle.
8. moolanomy.com
Pinyo is a great blogger and the new dad of an uber-cute baby! But no, baby insurance just isn’t a good buy. He’s got something better in mind for his son–a $250,000 college fund!
9. thedigeratilife.com
SVB is awesome! And she might be retiring this year (or next year, or in a couple years…). The only question is–will she use the time to become an even bigger blogger or does she have other ideas? I guess we’ll have to stick with her and find out.
10. plonkee.com
I’ve met plonkee and can attest to her being human, female, and British. I’m actually slightly jealous, my husband can’t get over her accent. She also answers to “plonkee” if you happen to run across her in a store. Unlike in my top commentators post, I’m actually going to link to a real post of hers here: She’s got some major plans for promotion in 2008–and I think she’s doing a great job setting it all up.
Again, thanks all readers, commentators, and referrers. Happy 2208!

Best wishes today at work!
If it’s any consolation, no one is particularly impressed by my accent over here, whilst there are legions who would think that yours is pretty cute.
Glad to send traffic your way, btw.
I had to stop by for a visit and post this time. I get lots of traffic from your site:-)) I enjoy your posts and will add your blog to my newsfeed…good stuff and keep it up!
“I Love Bogle”….funny 🙂

Congrats on starting the new job. Hope to see my blog on your list next time, you are number 1 on my blogroll and I can’t thank you enough for the support getting started! You deserve the traffic!
Congrats on all of your mentions and starting your new job! I hope this is a great new year for your finances!
Thanks for being a fangirl! And I can’t thank you enough for all the attention you’ve brought to snowflaking. Snowflakes – take over the world!!
