Friends in an Accident

Update: We got a very exciting update! The doctors say that they’re going to be just fine but they’re still spending the night in the hospital. Their friend was more badly injured but he’ll recover too.

First, I didn’t write earlier, but my first day at work was a success. It was also tiring and I didn’t have something lined up for today.

But I’m posting now to ask for thoughts and prayers for a family we know. We’re friends with the parents and several of their kids were in a severe accident tonight. They’re pretty young…somewhere between 8 and 13. We’re not sure on the details yet, but they’re at a good hospital. They’re apparently in bad shape.

After I lost a friend in an accident a year and a half ago, the danger seems so much more real than car accidents have in the past.

Their parents would appreciate thoughts and prayers very much!

(Note to those who know me IRL–it’s Mom-in-law’s bosses, good friends of ours who did some premarital counseling with us.)

Whew! As a social worker in a hospital I always get concerned when I hear about an accident (that and a lot of my friends and acquaintances as well as myself have been having tough weeks). Glad this will be okay…
