Thank you all! December’s top commentators.

First, thanks to everyone who reads my blog, and especially to those who leave comments…so I know who my readers are!

I thought I’d do a post thanking December’s top commentators.

First, there’s RacerX, whose blog Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Money is relatively new to the blog scene. One of his posts I particularly enjoyed is Viva Wall Street! a look at investing vs. gambling (which has inspired some content on here).

Next is my Englisher friend Plonkee. While it doesn’t show off her writing talents, I can’t help wanting to link to a credit card offer she received. Seriously, you have to visit it…it’s crazy!

Then comes another long-time commentator, wealthy_1 who blogs at Collecting My Cash. This month I particularly liked her idea of my best personal finance idea of the year post. It’s like a little way to snowflake the money you already have…

And speaking of snowflaking, the nexgt commentator is Saving Diva, who’s Saving for Home. She snowflakes her savings all the time, getting closer and closer to that down payment. Here’s her post on how to cut electricity bills–inspired by a friend who had a similar lifestyle but a much higher bill.

Then comes Fabulously Broke of Fabulously Broke in the City. Since she just put up a list of her best posts for the last two years, it’s hard to pick just one. However, I’ve decided to go with her post “Pay Yourself First…and not just financially.”

Laura at Green Panda Treehouse just got her Master’s this month. Congrats! And she has a very useful post on starting an IRA without a lot of money. I’ve just been up to that…but that’s a topic for later.

Catherine Lawson is more a business blogger, but I think a lot of what she writes is relevant to finance or even the business of blogging. And what better than a post on propelling your business (read: blog) to cult status.

E.C. is Not Living on Ramen. Oh, and better not mention the latte factor anymore. (sometimes I feel the same)

Becky of Family and Finances is another new blogger and a newlywed like me. She wrote a great post this week about insurance and liability. As someone who’s worked in the industry, she has some great suggestions.

And last but not least is my lovely cousin Christine. Like me she’s…verbose. And while she knows all the dirt on me, she won’t be spilling. Right, Christine? Another thing we have in common is dissecting ads for their stupidity. So here’s her post “Don’t Buy Our Product.”

Thanks again and happy New Year, everyone! πŸ™‚

Glad you liked the credit card offer. I’ll be checking out some of your other commentators.

God Bless in 2008…

You are very kind to mention me and my blog. The only reason I am a top commentator is because this is one must-read-multiple-times daily blog!

Thanks for all!

Hi Mrs M – I’ve enjoyed reading some of these posts. And thank you for linking to my post too. I guess it could be applied to blogs too.

Some people do turn their blogs into business and make a fortune – eg. Darren Rowse and the amount of money some of them make amazes me. Especially when you consider how little many traditional freelancers make.

I agree with RacerX, your blog is a must-read on my daily list! Thanks for the mention πŸ™‚

Thanks for the shout out! I’m glad you liked the post about my friend’s electric bill.

Mrs. Micah,

Thanks for the props! All the best to you in 2008.

I guess I better get to commenting. I see I lost my top 5 status! πŸ™‚
