So, I’m a little confused, but happy. The library I interviewed at on December 4th just called up and offered me the job. Some 2+ weeks later, I’d kinda figured they decided to go with someone else. Though she did say that I’d hear back within 3 weeks–I just thought she meant if I didn’t get hired.
I went through an initial confused shock, but now I’m happy. I also interviewed for an exciting job yesterday (and yes, I still have time for it in my schedule). Haven’t heard back from him yet but I’ll keep you updated. I won’t start at the library until Dec 31st.
Here’s a roundup from the carnivals I was in this week!
Get Rich Slowly hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance. Lots of fun old-school clips interspersed.
It included my post on Best PF Practices of the Year. People have been contributing more, so keep checking in to see what your friends (or enemies, or complete strangers) have to say!!
Also featured: work can be expensive!
MoneyNing wrote about dealing with overzealous Secret Santa exchanges.
One Snarky Chica is feeling like the office leper because of her debt reduction strategies.
Festival of Frugality was at Fire Finance this week!
My post on creating a budget-friendly Christmas list was included!
The Frugal Duchess wrote about being a recycled Cinderella this holiday season…dressing for formal events without spending a lot or wearing the same thing every time.
And then I hosted Make It From Scratch–a carnival of DIY and MYO. I’d have to recommend everything on it!
