Today was a wonderfully fun girl-bonding time. Micah and I went out with our friends M&M to get lunch and catch a movie. The boys went to see I Am Legend and we girls went to see Enchanted. Someday I’d like to see I Am Legend (I liked the book), but I was definitely in need of a chick flick today. It was very very fun, left me with great big smiles. It spoofs some fairy-tale conventions yet points out that we allow a lot of suckiness under the guise of “reality” too. It was also really nice to hang out with friends, we haven’t done that in a couple weeks!
And now for a few good posts from my blogroll:

Beyond the Consumer brings us handy information for dealing with AT&T. I’ve also had to change a SIM card. Slightly different situation, but they gave me a free one with no hassles. I suppose it’s partially in who you talk to. Which is why he called back!

Hilda, the Frugal Chick, learned about a new kind of beans on her vacation. They’re cheap, nutritious, and you sprout them yourself.

Trent at The Simple Dollar asks how much you’re willing to pay to have more free time. I can’t help but be reminded of my piece asking how little you’re willing to be paid to give up your time. Probably different numbers…but similar principle.

And Frugal Babe made a good decision which saved her a lot of stress and money. Helped the environment too. Plus, she mulled over what to do with their HELOC and HSA and then came to a decision (I think another good one) in her yoga class.

Of course, these are not the only excellent posts of the week–I’m trying to highlight a bit of each blog I read!

Hey Mrs. Micah — I just wanted to thank you for stopping by some of the posts I’d written at other blogs this week and commenting. I really do appreciate it :).

I’m just heading over to read the Simple Dollar Post now. I think I need to put some more personal finance blogs in my feed reader… :).

Thanks, Skellie. I found them inspiring (it’s nice when a post inspires you to action).

I love the PF blogging community, so I’m sure you can find a lot of good ones. I’ve found it a real learning experience…

The SD post reminded me of you recent post as well. I wrote one on that topic not too long before that too. Popular topic I guess. And, btw, I am dying to see I Am Legend. Soon, I hope!
