Do people say that anymore?
Anyway, I’m totally psyched for the interview I have this afternoon. I think this is the first time I’ve ever gone into an interview feeling completely competent about the position. It’s for a part-time job at the local library, nothing fancy but a job I love. My happiest work has been at the library back home.
It’s part-time, not quite even 20 hours per week, so there’s plenty of time for writing (and it works pretty well with my baby schedule–I double checked the shifts before applying).
So here’s hoping!
The goal is not to get overconfident. The librarian I spoke to said I have a really impressive resume. π So excited. But not overconfident. Ok. But confident. π

Good luck with your interview!
Good luck, I hope it works out!
I hope it works out! My hope is to never work outside the home again (I’m such an introvert). But if I were to go back to work, I would LOVE to work in the library! I just love books!
Keep us posted!
Thanks everyone. π
The interview went ok. She was a bit spacey, which was weird. That makes me feel a bit nervous…
I’m really tired from a frustrating morning trying to get a new license, but I got a nice walk from the library to the metro station. Time for some nice hot curry! π
GOOD LUCK WITH IT! π
I hope you get it *crosses fingers*
By the way.. I haven’t been commenting because I thought you weren’t posting, but Feedburner is not playing nice with Google Reader :\
I’m sorry!! π
That’s ok. I use Google Reader to watch my feed and hadn’t been having trouble with it…but good to know. Well, some days I have trouble with it…but it always says it’s fixed.
welps, hope you got the jobby!
Best wishes with the interview!
An unrelated note: I just realized I haven’t been getting your feed in Google Reader. It’s fixed now (I think) but I’ll have to remind myself to check back over here regularly.
Good luck!!!! I love my library job. I always look forward to going to work, which is a huge plus for any job. I hope you get it – that’ll put you lots closer to you $2000/month goal.
Have you ever considered going to library school? Sounds like it would be right up your alley. I’m sure they must have one or more programs in D.C.
Hi Canadian! There are a lot of good DC programs. I’ve thought about it–I’m not positive enough about it to apply yet. We’ll see. π
