By which I mean, I’ve been tagged twice for the meme: 5 to 10 courses to fix up my life.
I don’t remember who the first tag was from (it’s been a long weekend, so please remind me and I’ll link to you!), the second was from Carrie at Chocolate the Other White Meat. Resistance is futile. π
So here are the courses I’d like to have:
Managing your Mental Health–Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 102
This one’s inspired by Carrie, but it’s also something I’d like to see. I’m not really at the point where I need a therapist anymore. I’m sure I could use one, but what I really need is something to help me practice good CBT. I’ve found CBT very helpful but it only works if you do it.
Tailoring for Seamstresses
Not tailoring 101, I can sew a seam and make a dress. But I’m not as good at adapting patterns or at tailoring stuff that’s already finished. I need more practice on that. And I’d love to have a side business as a seamstress, but it only seems fair to offer good tailoring too (I should really look into this, such classes might exist).
Yoga
I would like a yoga class within walking distance of my house. And I’d like to pay for it by doing odd jobs around the studio. I found the latter when I was in college, but it was too far away and I didn’t have a car. When I do yoga, I find it so relaxing and fun, but I don’t do it enough.
Networking 101
I’d like to be better at networking. Especially offline.
How to Use the Library of Congress
This class exists, I just haven’t taken it yet. And since I got my reader card, I think it’s about time I learn how to use it!
Become a Master Blogger
This course would not only include CSS, but would also offer information like where the best sites for certain things are, a run-down of hosting, all the kind of stuff.
Um, I really don’t know who hasn’t been tagged with this yet. So tag yourself in the comments, dear reader, if you’d like to be tagged…. π

and we’ll get crackin’ if you’re interested π
You should network with my mom — seriously! She would be intimidated by making a dress (I think), though I know she could do it. But she is stellar at tailoring, altering patterns, etc. Goodness knows she has had enough practice with my clothes. :o)
Tell your mom to move to DC! π
I really admire her work on your clothes, both in taking in/letting out and the more amazing creative stuff. Perhaps she and I should arrange some kind of wild weekend together with fabric and sewing machines. Maybe while you’re on sabbatical in Grantham or something–I guess that’s not really in the middle for her….
