Not yet up to a full post. But that’s ok because:
Plonkee tagged me with the “if I were debt free” meme.
If I were debt free, not much would change until Mr. Micah got a job. Except that we’d be diverting our debt-repayment money into savings. Which would be quite nice.
Next year, though, once Mr. Micah got a job (as long as it earned $30,000/year, like I am now), I’d take time off to apply for jobs I really wanted. Maybe work part-time at the local library until I found something (their part-time is 10-12 hours/week). Do some writing. Volunteer. Maybe get a job I can do from home.
So being debt free for me would mean finding a job I really liked. It would mean a certain amount of freedom. Mr. Micah loves his work teaching, and I’d like to be working in a job which I felt equally passionate about.
Not tagging anybody this time, but I’m sure the meme will go on. 🙂

It’s a nice post. 🙂 Got to know you better.
Thanks Laura. 🙂
I’m blogging about my experience doing just this! Check out my blog to add your tidbits/advice/etc at http://shauna26.wordpress.com. After all, we need all the help we can get!
I totally agree- I think about having the freedom to quit working for money and start working on my hobbies that I love. Definitely a good goal. Thanks.
