How to Become a More Successful Blogger :-P

Write about sex and strippers. Really. I woke up this morning to find out that over 250 people had visited my blog in the night. Peanuts for some of you, but confusing for me. When I scrolled down, I found out that some civic-minded lad (PATRICK!) had Stumble[d]Upon my “Afternoon Brain Snack: Stripper Edition.”

Yes, dear highschool/college friends, I can blush. It’s possible. Dear blogging friends, perhaps you never doubted it. Rest assured, I blushed profusely. I’m not ashamed of the post…I’m the sort of person who finds sex and strippers interesting. Plus it was an amusing tidbit.

Of course, it’s the one thing I write that people actually stumble upon. Maybe I should be blogging under the name “Fancy Knickers” and writing erotica (hmmm…I wonder if I could get ad payments for that).

Um and in other news, I got some content published on Associated Content. Now you can read about:

A Financial Consequence of Depression $3.03

How to Avoid Being Hit by a Car: Tips for Jaywalkers $3.23

How to Write Frugal E-mails

Where Your Credit Card Payment Really Goes

(all but the jaywalking is stuff which I blogged about and polished up for them)

Postscript for Patrick: It’s ok, there was hilarious laughter and much amusement in with the blushing. And I’m smiling now, too.

Edit: I came up with “Fancy Knickers” off the top of my head from an old Are You Being Served? episode. But apparently it’s a flower too. See:

very funny and so true. I also found that if you mention Jude Law in your blog (which i did), the blog visits go through the roof. So I guess that would make – ‘sex’, ‘stripper’ and ‘Jude Law’ suggested tags for up’ing blog views!
