Lol, MBB, I actually had to find a better link about this study because the first place I found had a pixelated nudie picture. Legs...yeah. Lol. :-)

It seems pretty clear to me that this effect is caused by women behaving differently when they're ovulating. In the case of strippers, they are more flirtatious, and therefore more attractive to men, especially the men who are attending strip clubs. That's just my theory, though, and I only have one X chromosome. I seriously doubt that men can somehow subconsciously pick up on fertility through sense of smell or something without realizing it, which only leaves female behavior changes as an explanation.

In any event, the sample size for this study seems inadequate (only 18 individuals), even if that does represent 296 work shifts. (However, the difference, twice as much, does seem unreasonably large, so I'm not wholly skeptical. I'd have to see the full data for a serious analysis.) I would like to see the study replicated and verified before I'd put too much stock in it.

Yeah....lol. I just found it kind of amusing. I wonder if it does only affect strippers and people in sex-related fields or if it's got broader implications.

"Perhaps we women could ask male bosses for raises while we’re fertile?"

Be careful what you wish for... they could lower pay when you're not fertile instead!

Although I don't think this finding really applies to most jobs anyway.
